Industrial mezzanine

If your warehouse has 7m+ ceiling height and you’re running out of floor space, you almost certainly have unused capacity overhead. A mezzanine floor turns that vertical space into usable area.

When a Mezzanine Makes Sense

Typical Specs

A standard industrial mezzanine includes:

Things to Get Right

Three places where mezzanine projects go wrong:

  1. Floor load rating: Match it to your actual stored material. Light boxes? 250 kg/sqm is fine. Heavy parts? Spec 750+.
  2. Existing slab capacity: The columns transfer all that load to the floor below. Get the existing slab assessed.
  3. Fire compliance: If the mezzanine area exceeds certain thresholds, additional fire protection may be required by Qatar Civil Defense.

Cost vs. Building Out

A mezzanine typically costs 20–35% of what equivalent floor area would cost via a building extension. Plus no demolition, no civil works on the perimeter, no permits for footprint expansion.

How Long It Takes

For a 200–500 sqm mezzanine with simple decking, expect 3–5 weeks from order to commissioning. We do a site survey first to confirm clear height, slab condition and access for fabrication delivery.
